Willow Wood Hospice provides a free and confidential counselling service to patients and those closest to them.

Counselling provides a non-judgmental space where clients have the opportunity to explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences with a trained practitioner. Our team includes qualified and student counsellors, all with a vast amount of experience in supporting individuals through life, illness and bereavement.
Counselling can be a helpful space to understand your reactions to a diagnosis, explore feelings around caring responsibilities for a loved one or to make sense of your grief experience. Our counselling team will listen to you, offering reflections and support, whilst allowing you to share what’s on your mind.
We currently offer one-to-one counselling to any patient or family members of patients known to Willow Wood in the community or on our Inpatient unit. This also includes bereavement counselling for families of patients who have died.
Counselling is offered on a weekly or fortnightly basis, in an agreed time slot, for a minimum of eight sessions, held at the Hospice.
