Led by Clinical Educator Rachael Grimwood, the Education department at Willow Wood Hospice aims to ensure our workforce – both clinical and non-clinical – are equipped to provide the best care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and those closest to them.

Through training tailored to each department on essential topics such as symptom management, communication, bereavement support, dementia care, and spiritual guidance, we ensure our team stays informed and up-to-date. This approach guarantees that everyone receives the knowledge and skills they need to excel in their roles, contributing to the overall quality of care we provide.
This education enables us to offer compassionate, patient-centred care that meets the unique needs of each individual, while also fostering growth and confidence, ensuring everyone is well prepared in their roles. Whether it’s doctors, nurses, or non-clinical staff like administrators, housekeepers, or volunteers, everyone at Willow Wood plays a crucial role in delivering the highest quality of care.
