Dying Matters Week

Willow Wood Hospice will once again be supporting Hospice UK’s “Dying Matters” campaign this year.

A national awareness week held from 4th to 10th May 2026, it encourages communities to come together to create an open culture when talking about death, dying and grief.

The theme of this year’s campaign is: Let’s Talk About Death & Dying, focusing on the importance of conversations about death and dying – with family, friends, employers, anyone in your life – helping you to get the conversation started.

Market Place Event at Willow Wood Hospice

We are sending out a community-wide invitation for members of the public, colleagues from health and social care across both acute and community teams, faith leaders, funeral directors, and other charities to join us in opening up the conversations about death and dying.
