Trauma-Informed Practice workshop

Our Education team is pleased to offer an interactive Trauma-Informed Practice Workshop for adult healthcare professionals, designed to help you better understand the impact of trauma and develop practical skills to provide compassionate, person-centred care.

Trauma can have a profound effect on a person’s physical health, emotional wellbeing, behaviour, learning and relationships. This workshop explores how adopting a trauma-informed approach can improve the way we communicate, build trust and respond to the needs of those we support.

Whether you work in primary care, community services, social care or specialist healthcare, this session will provide valuable insights and practical approaches that you can apply in your everyday practice.

What you’ll learn

During this interactive workshop, you will:

  • Gain an understanding of what trauma-informed practice is.
  • Explore how trauma can affect health, wellbeing, behaviour and relationships.
  • Learn practical ways to respond with empathy and confidence.
  • Develop skills to have meaningful conversations about what matters most.
  • Consider how trauma-informed approaches can improve outcomes for the people you support.

Who can attend?

This workshop is suitable for adult healthcare professionals working across health and social care who want to enhance their communication skills and deliver more compassionate, person-centred care.
