Join us for a fun, friendly afternoon and help raise vital funds for Willow Wood Hospice.

We would love you to join us on Sunday 13th September 2026 from 12pm at Stamford Park in Ashton-under-Lyne for our annual fundraising walk, kindly sponsored by Inology IT.

The theme this year is HEROES AND VILLAINS!

What’s it all about?

It’s simple – sign up, get sponsored, and enjoy a 5km walk on a scenic route around the park, including the boating lake and Chadwick Dam.

You can come dressed as your favourite hero or villain, wear a themed t-shirt, or just turn up in your comfiest walking clothes. However you choose to join in, you’ll be helping us care for patients from the local community when they need us most.

Who can take part?

Everyone is welcome!

• Suitable for all ages
• Children can join in
• Dogs are welcome (on a short lead)
• Pushchairs are allowed (please note the route may be muddy if the weather is wet)

Please note: Unfortunately, the route is not suitable for wheelchair users.

What will I get?

Once you’ve signed up, we’ll send you a fundraising pack by email with tips and a sponsorship form.

On the day:

• You’ll check in and receive your walker number
• Children will get a fun activity booklet
• When you finish, you’ll receive a medal and certificate
• Children will also get a special extra treat!

Ticket prices

• Adults (16+): £12
• Children (under 16): £6
• Family (two adults, two children): £30

Sponsorship

We ask everyone to aim to raise a minimum sponsorship of £50 per adult and £30 per child.

Every pound you raise helps us continue to provide specialist, compassionate and dignified care to adults from Tameside and Glossop living with any life-limiting illness.

If fundraising feels challenging, don’t worry we’re here to support you! Your fundraising pack will include top tips to help you reach your target. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference!
